NO. 850-A Density Indicator
The density indicator, which mounts to the top of the No. 315 Sand Rammer, is useful for determining specimen weight and compacted density of core or molding sands in pounds per cubic foot. The sand may be rammed to any degree of hardness. It eliminates trial and error determination of specimen weight by indicating the proper weight for a standard 2-inch specimen after ramming one specified weight of sand.
