| The 25 and 53 Micron Sieve Baskets are used in the AFS- approved 25 & 53 Micron Clay Tests. The baskets have an anodized aluminum frame fitted with either a 25 or 53 micron mesh cloth made of stainless steel. The Basket is assembled according to rigid specifications.
The 25 & 53 Micron Sieve Basket are inserted into the No. 536-A Ultrasonic Scrubber to remove clay from the sand sample in 5 minutes or less. When the residue is dried in the basket using the No. 597-A Infra Dryer the clay wash can be completed within 30 minutes and the sieve analysis can begin. Requires:
