NO. 365 Hot Shell Tensile Tester (Spring Loaded)
This tester is a complete unit for curing and testing shell mixes for tensile strength at curing temperature. The test procedure is simple and rapid.

Recommended for laboratory research work. Tensile tests at curing temperature are important when the mix contains thermoplastic materials. These materials impart tensile strength to the cold shell but not to the shell at curing temperature. For a proper understanding of a shell mix, strength at room temperature should be compared with strength at curing temperature.

The tester conforms to AFS Standards. A spill pan, knock-out pin, combination hopper and strike-off, and an outlet for the No. 366 Timer Accessory are included. No. 365-80 blow cartridge is available for those who prefer to blow the specimen.

The tester forms, cures and breaks 1/4-in. (6.35mm) thick tensile specimens at temperatures from 150 to 600° F (65 to 315° C) with strengths up to 800 psi (56.24 kg/cm2).

Metric scale available upon request.
