NO. 336 Electronic Permmeter
The new Dietert No. 336 Electronic Permmeter, is a revolutionary new sand laboratory instrument that quickly and accurately measures the permeability of green and dry foundry sands, hot and cold box cores, and other porous masses. This new electronic permmeter utilizes 100% digital circuitry to produce test results with greater speed and accuracy than any other method.

Old fashioned water based permmeters require more than three minutes to perform tests on low permeability samples. Additionally, water-based instrument test results are not as accurate or repeatable. This is due to the effects of water vapor altering the test sample characteristics and varying mechanical friction caused by corrosion and scale build-up on the test instrument.

The electronic permmeter requires no liquids, and no moving mechanical parts are utilized during the testing procedure. Factory calibration is traceable to national standards. Test results are accurate to within 2% and repeatable to within 1% of the measured value.

RS-232, Ethernet and printer ports are integrated into the base unit. Test results can be automatically logged to your personal computer, to an external ZIP drive, or directly to an attached printer. The data files created are compatible with most spreadsheet, database, and word processing programs.

Preparation of the test samples is by traditional means and requires the use of a Dietert No. 315 Sand Rammer and a Dietert No. 315-9 Specimen Tube.
